Over 100 Riders Enter Far North Race Weekend!

The East Sutherland Wheelers race weekend is back!

Last year, we saw a nail biting battle for the NOSCA championship between our local hero and Olympic Development Team rider, Ian Paton and former Commonwealth Games competitor and World Duathlon champion, Kenny Riddle. What excitement lies in store for this year’s weekend of racing? We can expect another good show with riders from across the country travelling to Golspie for the weekend of racing.  Over 100 riders have registered to take part over the 2 days of racing.

Womens Only Crit Race

The ESW weekend will host the Scottish Power National Youth Series and the NOSCA Open Criterium Championships and following on from the success of the clubs Scott Contessa women’s coaching sessions earlier this year,  enough female riders have registered to hold a women’s only criterium race this year!.

Come along and join the fun!

There will be on site refreshments and catering available for spectators on Sunday 16th June so come along, bring your friends and make a day of it.  Kenny Riddle comments "The Criterium champs are a great addition to the North series for the growing amount of new members who are keen to be getting involved in doing bunch racing, the Criterium is a fast and furious event with lots happening from start to finish and also a great spectator event"

Want to race?

The full programme and details of how to enter can be found on the East Sutherland Wheelers website www.eastsutherlandwheelers.org.uk.   Entries for the Criterium will be accepted on the day
