FREE Black Isle Bike Fest

FORTROSE will be the scene of a FREE feast of two-wheeled fun on 20 April when the Black Isle’s first ever Bike Fest comes to town.

During the free festival at the Fortrose Leisure Centre you will be able to:

Watch the Clan Bike Display Team
Ride your bike into the airbag
Ride the Skills Trail, Slalom and Obstacle Course
Try an electric bike or a unicycle!
Get free bike advice from Dr Bike
Burn off energy on the bouncy castle.
Relax and chat in the café and enjoy a diverse range of films and talks
Donate your old bike at the Bike Recycling Point

A wide range of hands-on coaching activities targeted at all cycling levels and abilities will be on offer, from balancing bikes for non-cyclists to skills training for the more advanced.
There will be thrills and adventure aplenty with Scotland's cycle stunt team the Clan showing off their hair-raising displays and a chance for daredevils of all ages to ride their bikes into the airbag.
Other activities will include film shows, group bike rides, bike checks, demonstrations, including electric bikes, and equipment such as carriers, a bike amnesty, bike sales, spinning, art, talks, discussions and lots more.
A programme of fringe events is also being planned, including accompanied bike rides to the event and Cycling Scotland races. The organisers would love your help so if you'd like to get involved e-mail their team here or phone 07715663781.
